Liz Earle hot cloth cleanser

I've really fallen in love right here. I've never tried anything from the Liz Earle range before and this was actually a gift for my birthday back in July! I've only recently started using it, I wasn't sure how I first felt about the idea of using a muslin to remove my makeup. I'm very anti face flannels... Anyway let me explain..

Let's start with saying that this is a 100ml at £15.50 and will probably last a life time, okay maybe not a life time but you certainly get your money's worth. I never need to use more than a single pump of this because it's SO creamy. You can also say goodbye to messy hair because you apply this product to your face dry. No more water splashing - Hooray! It comes with two muslins so I can normally make one last me two evenings, then I pop that one in the wash and use my clean one. I also love the packaging. The product is a pump so no mess or fuss, and no issues with using all of the product inside like you get with a tube. The best part is it feels and smells like a real pamper product.

You gently massage the cleanser into your skin, rinse the Muslin with warm water and then take your makeup off a section at a time, using a new piece of the Muslin each time. I love the way the cleanser feels and the cloth isn't rough for my sensitive skin.

I always use simple face wipes to remove my makeup and use on average three (I will just add I don't wear much makeup) I don't tend to wear any kind of eyeliner or eyeshadow etc.. So you can imagine my surprise when I saw residue of my makeup still left on the muslin after using this product. I was horrified!! Now it wasn't tons by any means but considering I use three wipes and then normally hop into bed feeling all 'fresh faced' I couldn't quite comprehend all those nights I still had excess makeup on my face!!!

If you're on the look out for a new cleanser that makes your skin feel super clean and pampered then this is the one to invest in. I will purchase this again and again now, I tend to get dry skin especially now we are approaching these colder months and this hasn't dried my skin out at all! I normally find it a damn right nuisance to stick to a skin care routine but I find something so satisfying now about shoving my hair in a bun and heading into the bathroom to grab my new best friend. Its so satisfying to see the dirt left on the muslin and knowing I'm getting into bed with a clean, moisturised face :)

Are you a Liz Earle fan? Can you recommend any other products I should purchase?

Bourjios healthy mix foundation

My skin has started to break out recently and I've started worrying maybe it's my foundation, I've been using it forever but it's such a full coverage that it's just not necessary for every day use in my opinion. So I grabbed my purse and of I went on my way to boots to see if I could find something not only cheaper then what I currently use but also a little lighter but baring in mind I'm still after a good coverage....

Firstly I bought this bourjois foundation it was a steal at just £9.99! It is a medium coverage which is exactly what I was looking for, something I can wear every day and build up if necessary. Now let me tell you this product smells amazing! It feels so light weight and is easy to apply, it does require touch ups but as long as I use a setting powder I would say it stays fairly well. The main down fall is that I have dry skin around my nose and it truly highlighted that, if you don't have dry skin I think this is such a great alternative to a high end foundation!

I then bought the bourjois happy light concealer, it's a little compact and has a mirror which is great if you need to touch up. I find this hides blemishes really well, I apply over it over my foundation as it seems to work best this way, ive tried using it under my eyes and although it covers dark circles well I find it looks a little cakey however it's pretty good as an eyeshadow primer. I would certainly purchase this again to hide any pimples and it was only £8.99!

Hello gorgeous hair!!

Who doesn't want a thick long mane of hair?

If you're anything like me you're going to love this little beauty! My hair is so dim, it's flat, dry and well....flat. This little miracle is actually giving my hair some life.

Hair burst claims to make your hair grow faster and overall make it stronger and thicker, oh and something about improving your skin? Yeah I didn't belive there was such a thing either, that was until I tried it. Now in regards to making my skin healthier I'm not to sure, my skin is actually currently not to great however i do have very sensitive skin and it may be that in fact it's something else that's making be break out, I'm going to take a break from hairburst and see if it's affecting my skin however I do feel my hair has grown a lot and is much healthier!

I have sampled a months supply which is 60 tablets, two a day for 30 days and works out at £24.99, you can also sign up to their subscription service which saves you a little money at £19.99 a month.

AP24 NU Skin toothpaste

Extra clean teeth pleaseeeee!

"A patented plaque-fighting agent. AP-24® is a long-chain
silicon-oxygen molecule that can wrap around teeth and hold
tightly to leave your mouth feeling cleaner and fresher longer.
• Dicalcium phosphate
− a mild abrasive that gently loosens
and removes debris.
• Sodium monofluorophosphate
− an approved form of
fluoride that can be used to fight cavities"

Pros:

* somewhat coats the teeth

* I like the fact it comes with a flip top lid instead of a screw on lid. I'm lazy and it looks cleaner ha!

Cons:

* The taste isn't to my suiting, I like my mouth to feel minty fresh after I clean my teeth, it certainly doesn't taste minty more of a vanilla taste and to me personally made me feel like my teeth where not clean, I like a lasting taste.

Overall I won't be buying this toothpaste again, it retails for around £15 on Amazon which is pretty expensive for a toothpaste.

Lipstick dupe alert!

Revlon nude attitude £7.99
Mac peachstock £15.99

Apply a chestnut lip liner underneath and blend the colour out.

Although this is meant to be a Matt lipstick my lips dry out very easily so I always place a little Vaseline or lip balm over the top.

A great dupe with an £8 saving!

Real technique core collection brushes

Every girl loves buying new make up products, however if you're anything like me it can seem a little daunting handing over a small fortune for new brushes. So here's the solution..

You can currently pick up this core collection set from Amazon for just over £17 with delivery. I think they are wonderful quality at extremely affordable prices! They're made from taklon bristles making them synthetic and 100% crewlty free! Yay!

Detailer brush - I only ever really use this to conceal under my eye area however you could easily use this along side your lipstick.

Pointed foundation brush - Perfect for building and blending foundation, I find the brush picks up product extremely well.

Buffer brush - Absoultly brilliant with a mineral foundation such as bare minerals or a loose powder, applies product really well - it blends in easily and feels SO soft however I only wish it was a little larger!

Contour brushI love this one! Used for both highlighting and contouring this brush has a tapered tip which means you can contour your temples and jawlines perfectly.

I will certainly be purchasing more of these brushes from real techniques. Compared to the price of Mac brushes there just isn't a comparison!
