What do you buy the person who has everything? Or maybe it's just a case of wanting something a little more meaningful, of course we always ask for those essential items we don't want to buy for ourselves. I'm so guilty of this. It gets to the end of the month and if I know my birthday or Christmas is around the corner I will hold out on buying that new perfume I've been lusting after.
The boxes are made from recycled printed cardboard and the little cards are made from recycled matt heavyweight paper. The fact the whole product is made from recycled materials made me love it that little bit more, I'm all about recycling and upcycling and think it gives it that real 'hand made' look. The box is a deep wine colour with a beautiful pattern and little bird.
On the back the following words are written: ” How to use your Happy Box – Whenever something makes you smile, or your heart sing. Whenever someone is kind or you see something beautiful. Whenever your sides hurt from laughing or you are filled with warmth and love, write the date and your happy moment onto a little card, then post it in the top. Open your box of joyful memories when it is full, or in a years time, or just when you need to remember what a happy place your world can be.”
The box comes with 40 little illustrated blank cards, in 4 different designs, neatly packaged in a drawstring bag, and are all ready to be written on and then posted into the slot at the top of the box.
I've always been really keen on the idea of keeping a diary, my memory is absolutely horrific and I hate when I'm talking to friends or loved ones and can't remember certain details of those precious moments we all make in life. It simply comes down to the fact I'm either busy or lazy (I'm going to say busy) and I don't want to write down my whole day on that big blank page staring at me, and what about those days when I don't even leave the house?? This is such a great alternative - just a simple sentence, the date and into the box it goes! You could use this purely for yourself or involve the whole family. The kids could write down when they have been rewarded at school or when you have all had a family day out. I'm thinking of keeping it for myself and my partner to use. We can both write down little memory's or even just cute little notes to one another without knowing and then once all the cards have run out we can sit down, open it together and reminisce.
